Welcome

Welcome to the Journal Elaionas Corfu. Here we tell the story of how a wild olive grove in Arillas is becoming a place for people. A place to arrive, breathe deeply, and simply be.

We — that's Vera Isabella and Imanuel — live on this land, among 200 old olive trees, with views of the sea and the rocks of Arillas. And we are building something. What exactly, you can find out here 😄. In this blog we take you along.

Some of you already know us. Others are new here. What you all have in common: you are warmly welcome.

The land is around 20,000 square meters on a slope above the sea. Some of the trees are older than anyone can say — for years the grove was worked, then left, then worked again. We have spent two summers living here in tents, under the trees. This autumn we harvest for the second time.

We are in the building permit process and waiting for the decision. Until we can build, we write about what happens on the land.

Visiting

You are welcome to come. From May 2027 we will have guests again. Write to us at info@elaionascorfu.com and tell us roughly when you are thinking of, and how many of you there are.

Taking part

Elaionas is being dreamt by two people, built by more and financed by a group of freinds. If you would like to be part of that, write to imanuel@elaionascorfu.com. We will tell you how it works and send you the details. There is no form to fill in. We answer ourselves.

Willkommen

Willkommen im Journal Elaionas Corfu. Hier erzählen wir, wie aus einem verwilderten Olivenhain in Arillas ein Ort für Menschen wird. Ein Ort zum Ankommen, tief Durchatmen und einfach Sein.

Wir — das sind Vera Isabella und Imanuel — leben auf diesem Land, zwischen 200 alten Olivenbäumen, mit Blick aufs Meer und auf die Felsen von Arillas. Und wir bauen etwas. Was genau, erfährst du hier 😄. In diesem Blog nehmen wir dich mit.

Manche kennen uns schon, andere sind neu hier. Eines ist bei allen gleich: Du bist herzlich willkommen.

Das Land umfasst rund 20'000 Quadratmeter an einem Hang über dem Meer. Bei einigen Bäumen weiss niemand, wie alt sie sind — der Hain wurde bewirtschaftet, dann liegengelassen, dann wieder bewirtschaftet. Zwei Sommer haben wir hier in Zelten gewohnt, unter den Bäumen. Diesen Herbst ernten wir zum zweiten Mal.

Wir stehen im Baugenehmigungsverfahren und warten auf den Entscheid. Bis wir bauen können, schreiben wir darüber, was auf dem Land geschieht.

Du bist willkommen. Ab Mai 2027 empfangen wir wieder Gäste. Schreib an info@elaionascorfu.com und sag uns, an welche Zeit du ungefähr denkst und wie viele ihr seid.

Mitmachen

Elaionas wird von zwei Menschen geträumt, von mehreren gebaut und von noch mehr finanziert. Wer dabei sein möchte, schreibt an imanuel@elaionascorfu.com. Wir erklären, wie es geht, und schicken die Unterlagen. Es gibt kein Formular. Wir antworten selbst.
